わたしは　愛の園に出かけた

そして　それまで見たことのないものを　目にした

礼拝堂が　建っていた　真ん中に

わたしがかつて芝生で遊んでいた場所

礼拝堂の門は　閉まっていた

汝入るべからず　そう扉に書いてあった

だから　わたしは　愛の園に向かった

たくさんのかぐわしい花を　咲かせた場所

そして　わたしは　見た　そこが墓だらけなのを

そこかしこに墓石が　花が咲き乱れているはずの場所

黒衣の僧侶たちが　見回り歩き続けていた

わたしの歓喜と欲望を　イバラで縛り付けながら

「忘れがたき幻想」A Memorable Fancy

天使たちの目には　苦しみと狂気に写る　地獄の業火のなかを歩きながら　ぼくは　　天才の楽しさに　歓喜していた

ある国で使われていることわざが　その国の性格を表すように

建物や衣服の描写よりも　地獄の格言の方が　

地獄の叡智の本質を　実によく示すものだなどと考えながら

格言をいくつか集めた

帰宅すると

両端が平らな断崖が　

不機嫌な顔で　現世に覆いかぶさっている五感の割れ目のうえに

黒雲に包まれた巨大な悪魔が　ふわりと浮いているのを目にした

その悪魔は　金属を腐食させる炎で

岩の両側に　

地上の人間たちの心が　とらえ　読めるような

次のような文を書いた

空を切り飛び回るすべての鳥たちが　

無限の歓びの世界ということを

五感に閉じ込められたあんたらに

知る術などあるものか

全ての聖書および聖典は次のような誤りの原因となっている

１．人間は現実に存在するふたつの原則を持つ　すなわち　肉体と魂だ

２． エネルギーは悪と呼ばれ　肉体に由来し　理性は善と呼ばれ　魂にのみ由来する

３． 人間が自らのエネルギーに従うと　神は永遠に人間を苦しめるだろう

だが　これとは対立する次の見解が真実だ

１．人間は魂から分離した肉体を持たない　なぜなら肉体と呼ばれているものは　五官がとらえることができた魂の一部で　今の時代においては魂の主な入口だからだ

２． エネルギーだけが唯一の生命で　それは肉体から生じる　理性はエネルギーの限界　あるいは外部の境界線だ

３． エネルギーは永遠の歓喜なのだ

The voice of the Devil
All Bibles or sacred codes. have been the causes of the
following Errors.
1. That Man has two real existing principles Viz: a Body & a
Soul.
2 That Energy. calld Evil. is alone from the Body. & that
Reason. calld Good. is alone from the Soul.
3. That God will torment Man in Eternity for following his
Energies.
But the following Contraries to these are True
1 Man has no Body distinct from his Soul for that calld Body is
a portion of Soul discernd by the five Senses. the chief inlets
of Soul in this age
2. Energy is the only life and is from the Body and Reason is
the bound or outward circumference of Energy.
3 Energy is Eternal Delight　（E34）

引き寄せられること　反発すること

理性　エネルギー

愛　憎しみ

これらは互いに　人間の存在には必要なものだ

宗教に関わる人たちにとってのいわゆる善悪は　これらの対立物をふたつに分類しているに過ぎない

理性に従う消極的なものを善

エネルギーに由来する活動的なものを悪

天国を善

地獄を悪と

Without Contraries is no progression. Attraction and
Repulsion, Reason and Energy, Love and Hate, are necessary to
Human existence.
From these contraries spring what the religious call Good &
Evil. Good is the passive that obeys Reason[.] Evil is the active
springing from Energy.

Good is Heaven. Evil is Hell.
